The ACC&C continues to build its capacity to make a positive contribution to the intellectual life of Australia, through a growing band of scholars associated with the Centre. We are creating a ‘think tank’ of public intellectuals to help the churches engagement with the public issues of the day.

Professor Frank Brennan SJ AO (laws, ethics and theology) is as an ACC&C Research Professor; Dr Brendan Long (economics and religion) a Senior Research Fellow. Recently Dr Long made a major submission in response to the McClure Report on Welfare.

Other recent professorial appointments are David Tacey (religion, psychology, culture); Paul Oslington (economics and theology); Dr Ros Dalziell (Australian literature and religion); and Dr Jane Foulcher (theology, ageing and spirituality); Dr Raymond Williamson (Ecumenism).

The Centre continues to collaborate closely with scholars in CSU Public and Contextual Theology Research Centre (PACT).
