The ACC&C was delighted to partner with Bluestar Intercultural Centre to host the 7th Annual Social Harmony Iftar Dinner for the local Muslim community, with more than 90 people in attendance.
The dinner was held to mark Ramadan.
Executive Director Rt Rev'd Stephen Pickard delivered the keynote address titled Living beyond fear: Dialogue and the common good. In his address he acknowledged:
"The season of Ramadan has become a season for fresh engagements among people of different faiths and sections of the community. It is most appropriate that a season dedicated to prayer and fasting turns us away from our own self-preoccupations towards one another. This Iftar meal is a good example of such an open spirit. This is the spirit we so desperately need today."
