Religion, Violence and the Peaceable Kingdom

Religion, Violence and the Peaceable Kingdom will be the theme of guest speaker Rt Rev'd Stephen Pickard at a forum held by Christians for an Ethical Society at the Australian Centre for Christianity and Culture (ACC&C) on 20 April from 7.30pm. The forum will be chaired by Lt Gen John Sanderson AC.

Professor Pickard is Executive Director of the ACC&C, Professor of Theology within Charles Sturt University, and Assistant Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Canberra and Goulburn. He has written and lectured for decades on the theme of religion and society.

Christians for an Ethical Society are a Canberra-based working group of Churches Together NSW – ACT and this lecture is one among a series offered by the CES in their 2016 Forums under the theme Common Wealth: Common Good. The lecture is free – a $5 contribution is suggested if you are in a position to make a donation toward costs.
