The Australian Centre for Christianity and Culture has thanked Lynette Glendinning for her contribution to the Centre as a board member.
Chair Dr Lawrie Willett AO and member of the board and executive Mr Clive Rodger thanked her at the December board meeting.
Executive Director the Rt Rev'd Professor Stephen Pickard said Mrs Glendinning has served on the board for about 12 years.
"Lynette Glendinning has made a major contribution to the life of the Centre in her time as a member of the Board and Executive," he said.
"She has given generously of her time, expertise and wisdom in helping the Centre make an important contribution to the engagement of Christian faith with the issues and concerns of Australian society and culture.
"We are extremely grateful for Lynette’s friendship and encouragement. We will miss her presence and wise voice and we pray God’s richest blessing for the future," Professor Pickard said.
Lynette Glendinning is the owner of the management consulting company Tempo Strategies in Canberra.
Mr Willett also welcomed five new board members to the Centre: artist Roger Beale AO, political journalist Paul Bongiorno AM, former CEO of Australian Pipeline and Gas Association Cheryl Cartwright, recently retired ACT Supreme Court Justice Richard Refshauge and Canberra Commissioner for International Engagement Mr Brendan Smyth.
The Australian Centre for Christianity and Culture is governed by a Board of Directors (under delegation from the Council of Charles Sturt University) consisting of members of the Christian churches.
