The Centre for Ageing and Pastoral Session has planned a series of continuing education sessions for 2023, including webinars and workshops on topics such as meeting the spiritual needs of older people, spiritual reminiscence and spirituality and creativity. Considering the spiritual needs of older people is an important part of aged care.
There will also be a symposium to be held 13 October on a pastoral approach to palliative care and end of life. This workshop is aimed at people providing health care and aged care, as well as people in pastoral care, people who are coming to the end of their lives, or people caring for loved ones. This symposium provides an opportunity for people to delve deep into this controversial and complex issue, looking at the choices for end-of-life care.
For health care and pastoral care providers, webinars are a ‘quick and easy’ way of keeping up to date. They also assist in meeting continuing education requirements for professionals as they provide current and contemporary content.
Workshops are free, however registration is required.
