'70 not out!' - 'People like a tune they can whistle'

Experience David Pereira’s 70 Not Out!… a remarkable musical journey
of six different performances July-December 2023 to mark his 70th birthday

People like a tune they can whistle!

My mother’s apt opinion leads to this conspicuously melodious program.

Cello and piano in sweet harmony, too, sing out many good tunes. Many are folksy.

The largest work is a somewhat neglected masterpiece of amazing virtuosic pianism and romantic lines from both.

Ear worms abounding! I can't wait to hear these beautiful classics played in the perfect acoustics of the Chapel at the Australian Centre for Christianity and Culture and with pianist, Edward Neeman, making music so intuitively naturally and easily together.

The Rubinstein in particular gives him a great showpiece for his virtuosity and exciting musicianship.
