Australian Centre for Christianity and Culture

Spiritus Short Film Prize

Join us at 3pm Sunday 12 November 2023 for a special screening at Dendy Cinemas Canberra for the Spiritus Short Film Prize, which is part of the Canberra Short Film Festival. The films focus on stories that reflect on the human spirit and wisdom for the common good.

The screening will be followed by a very short award presentation, and then you can enjoy post-session light refreshments. It's a great opportunity to mingle with fellow film enthusiasts and celebrate the talented filmmakers, some of whom will be present.

The Spiritus Short Film Prize is an initiative of the Australian Centre for Christianity and Culture, which aims to promote the lively interaction between the arts, sciences, and culture. This event is one of the ways the Centre fulfills its commitment to fostering a vision of hope and the common good for Australia.

During the screening, you'll have the chance to watch nine incredible short films curated by judges representing the Australian Centre for Christianity and Culture. These films include:

"A Lift in Faith" by Elizabeth Hughes,

"New Life" by Mark Bernard,

"Soul" by Gabrielle Gregoire,

"The Choice to Love" by Anna Dvorak,

"An Ode to My Denim Jacket" by Christa Fiona Hill,
