Sports development

We continue to work towards the public good. We are focused on developing individuals who help their communities grow and flourish.

The CUP Rural and Regional Sports Development Program is a small grants program (generally $500 - $1,000) to assist young rural sportspeople or teams to attend regional, national or other one-off events, to assist community sporting groups to host regional, national or other one-off events in CSU's campus regions, and to provide equipment to assist young people who have difficulty meeting the cost of participation in sports programs.

Following feedback from our communities in 2016, the Rural and Regional Sports Development Program has been split into two rounds, summer and winter, to better accommodate the funding requirements of recipients to tie into seasonal sports. Sports that are not seasonal remain eligible to apply in either round, and the same reporting process will apply to successful applicants.

Community and sporting organisations and educational institutions (e.g. schools) may apply for a grant in this Round.
