Commonwealth Day Multifaith Celebration 2026

'Unlocking Opportunities Together' - Join Us!

Commonwealth Day is celebrated each year on the second Monday in March, coinciding with Canberra Day. Since 2007, a multifaith celebration has been held at the Australian Centre for Christianity and Culture, Charles Sturt University in Canberra.

You are invited to join us for this ceremony, where we will gather on Ngunnawal and Ngambri Country in the presence of the Governor-General and religious representatives to hear messages from the leaders of the Commonwealth and this nation, Australia, and we will reflect on and celebrate the extraordinary gift of cultural and spiritual diversity in our society.
