Prayer: Fervent Petition, intimate connection, loving surrender
Across all religious traditions, prayer serves as a sacred bridge between the human and the Divine. Whether expressed as a heartfelt plea, a yearning for communion, or an act of humble surrender, prayer reveals the soul’s deepest longings. In this interfaith dialogue, scholar-practitioners from Hindu and Christian traditions will engage in a respectful and enriching exchange, exploring the diverse meanings, forms, and purposes of prayer. Together, they will reflect on how prayer shapes personal devotion, community practice, and spiritual transformation—inviting us into deeper understanding and shared reverence.
Join us as academics from the Christian and Hindu faiths present and discuss the topic of prayer from their respective faith traditions. Proudly brought to you by Charles Sturt University and the Port Macquarie Uniting Church.
