We're building on our strengths in education, research and partnerships, with an emphasis on regionality, innovation and accessibility.
Our strategic priorities serve as critical drivers that shape our culture, and in turn, our culture fuels our strategy. It is our ethos, vision, and focus areas that drive us forward, and collaboration with our students, people, and partners that generates success.
Charles Sturt University's ethos, "Yindyamarra Winhanganha," emphasises living with respect and wisdom to create a better world, rooted in Australian First Nations knowledge. Our values - insightful, inclusive, impactful, and inspiring - guide our behavior and work towards achieving this ethos.
After making strong progress against our 2030 strategy in the first five years since its launch, we have refreshed our commitment and ambitious priorities through to 2030: empowering students to thrive in their careers, leading regionally focussed research with global impact, enriching and advocating for the social and economic fabric of our regions, and enabling and supporting staff success.
Our vision recognises our hard won position – and advantage – as Australia’s leading regional university. We are proudly shaping the future from our regions, where excellence, belonging and innovation thrive. We champion equity for all learners regardless of their background and location, and contribute solutions to the challenges facing Australia and the world. We remain guided by respect for First Nations peoples and their deep connection to Country.
We are excited about the years ahead, the impactful research solutions we will co-design with partners, and our students who will become the future health professionals, teachers, business and IT leaders of our regions.
