Charles Sturt University is committed to creating safer university communities; by aiming to provide a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning and working environment that is free from gender-based violence, bullying, harassment and racism.
The Prevention and Support Specialist Program supports students and staff who have experienced gender-based violence or harmful behaviour, are concerned about their own safety, or are seeking guidance following a disclosure.
As the University's central point for reporting and seeking support regarding inappropriate, concerning or threatening behaviour, the program provides a respectful, confidential and trauma-informed space to access information, explore options and receive support.
Our trained specialists offer advice, guidance and practical assistance to help members of the University community understand available support services, reporting pathways and safety options.
If you need immediate medical attention, please go to your local emergency department.
If you or someone you know is in an unsafe or life-threatening situation, please:
for police, fire brigade or ambulance assistance.
Many Australians will experience harmful, unwanted or inappropriate behaviour in their lifetime. It can be hard for someone to talk about. How you respond can have a big impact.
