The CPD venue offers a number of conference rooms suitable for both large and small numbers. Rooms feature smartboards with modern AV facilities. Abundant natural light and spectacular views of Mount Panorama are also there for your guests to enjoy.

Located next to the CPD, the spacious James Hardie Dining Room is a refreshing setting for your next special occasion.

The room is equipped with Smartboard, AV and dance floor. Large glass windows and doors can be opened up to a paved courtyard and garden. The views of Mount Panorama guarantee a refreshing setting for your next event.

Rafter's Bar and Grill

Featuring ample indoor and outdoor space, Rafter's is the hub of Bathurst's social scene. The space is versatile and can be transformed for your next conference or social gathering with space for a dance floor and band.

These spaces cater for small and large events. They can be booked throughout the semester, on the weekends and throughout the student's holidays.

Depending on the venue, dance floors and staging are available upon request.

Most equipment is included in venue hire costs however some items will incur additional hire charges. Please enquire when you make your booking.

If you're booking an event with us during a semester break, you can take advantage of our student-style accommodation. This means your guests can stay on campus and can walk back to their rooms after the event.


We offer two types of accommodation: the Centre for Professional Development (CPD) Motel and student style accommodation.

Centre for Professional Development (CPD)

The CPD overlooks Mount Panorama and offers modern accommodation. The 16 fully-serviced motel rooms are available as singles, double or twin share. Rooms can accommodate up to three people.

All have:

  • en suite bathrooms
  • ISD/STD direct dial telephones
  • TV
  • fridge
  • toaster
  • tea/coffee making facilities
  • heating/air conditioning
  • electric blankets
  • access to a guest lounge and laundry.

There is one fully appointed disabled room available.

Student Style Accommodation

All rooms have:

  • single bed
  • desk
  • wardrobe
  • access to washing machines and dryers
  • internet access.


Shared kitchen facilities are available in our self-catered residences. Otherwise, you can join our catered guests for breakfast, lunch or dinner at our Foodbowl.

Other facilities

As part of your stay, you're welcome to use our car parks and sporting facilities. These include a gymnasium, tennis and basketball courts. Additionally, a regular bus service operates from the campus.
