Taree Universities Campus

Taree Universities Campus (TUC) is a not‑for‑profit, community‑driven hub that brings the benefits of a university campus to the Mid Coast region. We partner with regional universities – including Charles Sturt University – to provide free on‑site study spaces, personalised support and a welcoming community for anyone studying online.

How we can help

We make successful graduation easier for online students.

  • Study facilities – high‑speed wifi, quiet rooms, group work areas, printing and kitchenette.
  • After-hours access – campus space is open from 7am to midnight via secure swipe access.
  • Academic support – one‑to‑one tutoring, study‑skill workshops and peer‑learning opportunities.

All of this is free for any students at Charles Sturt University who register with us.

For nursing students

We have a dedicated Nursing Student Support Officer to assist you with better understanding your nursing degree and how this works studying online, including:

  • Degree planning.
  • Securing local intensives at the Charles Sturt Port Macquarie Campus or a placement closer to home during your degree (this is optional, you may wish to experience other facilities for larger exposure).
  • Option for local placements for your Workplace-Integrated Learning (WIL) subjects (you may be required to travel up to 90 minutes from your home location) or whether you wish to choose placements further afield.
  • Getting to know the local educators and work options available locally once you near completion.
  • Getting to know other local nursing students for a sense of collegiality and belonging.
  • Local intensive classes for online students at the Charles Sturt Port Macquarie Campus.
  • Local facilitation during your placements.
