Partnering with CSU
Charles Sturt University is a community minded organisation with strong links to industry, government, and other educational organisations. Our courses are developed in collaboration with industry representatives to ensure the skills our graduates acquire meet industry needs.
CSU may be the largest inland university in Australia, with students from across Australia and around the world, but it is our sense of community in the cities in which the University is located that sets us apart.
Who we partner with
Some examples of organisations we partner with include:
- Other Australian and international universities and education providers
- Policing agencies
- Justice agencies and institutes
- Environmental centres
- Government agencies
- Land and agriculture organisations
- Libraries and information management organisations
- International research centres
Practical placements with leading organisations
Not only are CSU degrees accredited with relevant government and industry bodies, these organisations are working hand in hand with the University to guarantee that CSU graduates are industry-ready.
A major benefit of the University's partnership relationships is the ability to organise student internships and practical placements with leading Australian and international organisations. These partnerships ensure students' internship placement in their chosen industries, placements which in many cases lead to offers of employment - often before the completion of their degree.
TAFE pathways to CSU
CSU works closely with TAFE to help you get the qualifications you need with minimal additional study. Many TAFE courses provide a pathway to CSU degrees by following credit for previous TAFE study, or students can complete a Pathway Program, where you study through both TAFE and CSU.
There are about one hundred scholarships offered by government and industry to Charles Sturt University students.
CSU offers quality research and research training opportunities to its staff, students and communities, including partners in industry, the professions and the communities of inland Australia. In line with this approach, CSU has established eight research centres which have advisory or management committees with industry or international expert membership.
