The Convention Centre has movable partitions and can be divided into three separate rooms:
- the Indyamarra Room
- the Bangayarra Room
- the Gulballanna Room
An impressive, ceremonial auditorium, Joyes Hall is a tribute to former college headmaster Don Joyes. Guests can book the whole venue, or choose between:
- the Main Floor
- the Upper Floor
The DECK is a newly refurbished bar with both inside and alfresco space in the heart of the campus.
The HUB, incorporating the University Bar, is the daytime social epicentre of the campus. On weekdays it is a multi-purpose student space, but on weekends or between semesters it is available for event bookings.
Casual Rooms / Classrooms and Lecture Theatres
You can book casual rooms, classrooms and lecture theatres for both small and large capacities throughout the semester, on the weekends and during student holidays.
The Charles Sturt University Events Unit chefs utilise fresh, local produce and seasonal goods to make your meal deliciously unforgettable. We provide a diverse range of catering and banqueting services from fine dining to a self-cooked BBQ. Our chefs are also happy to cater for guests with special dietary considerations.

Our Events Unit can provide you with a range of audiovisual and technical equipment for your next special occasion. Some of our items include:
- Infrared pointers
- Data projectors
- Internet access
- Conference Phones
Additionally, dance floors and staging are available upon request.
Most equipment is included in venue hire costs however some items will incur additional hire charges. Please enquire when you make your booking.
There is no need to travel to and from your Charles Sturt University event. Comfortable student-style accommodation is available during the semester breaks within the University grounds.
There are two types of lodgings, cottages and Halls of Residence. All rooms have a single bed, desk, access to washing machines and dryers and offer direct phone and internet access. Shared kitchen facilities are only provided in our cottages, or, you can join our Halls of Residence guests for breakfast, lunch or dinner at our fully catered Dining Room.
While staying on the grounds at Charles Sturt University you are welcome to use our car parks and sporting facilities. These include an outdoor swimming pool, gymnasium, tennis and squash courts.
