Explorations Series - Ageing in Australia: Changes, choices and challenges
Start: 12 Sep 2019 6:00 pm
End: 12 Sep 2019 7:30 pm
Albury-Wodonga
This public lecture will explore how changes in social, policy and health care systems are impacting on the choices and experiences of ageing and caregiving in rural and regional Australia.
Drawing on local and national research, this discussion will examine the availability of formal and informal supports to older adults and their caregivers, with a particular focus on the issues of social inequity that can emerge for rural Australians across the life course and into later life.
This lecture is for community members of all ages who are curious about the choices and challenges of living and ageing in a rural community.
