The NSW Police Academy is situated on 40 hectares of undulating land at Goulburn, in the southern highlands of New South Wales, approximately 200 kilometres from Sydney. A driver training complex is located approximately 5km from the main campus and comprises about 80 hectares of land.

The NSW Police Academy, Goulburn serves most of the education and training needs of the NSW Police Force, from initial recruitment to senior executive level.

History of Charles Sturt in Goulburn

In 1968, the Department of Education took the decision to build several new Teacher's Colleges in NSW. In July 1968, tenders for the Goulburn Teacher's College were issued and the buildings were mostly completed by July 1970. On June 30, 1970 185 students were enrolled at the college.
